Pittsburgh and Phillie have so much for families to explore. There’s pro sports, lots of good shopping, delectable food, and four seasons worth of fun.

The fall foliage is gorgeous in PA, so escape with your soulmate for romantic weekend getaways, a memorable Poconos honeymoon or a family ski weekend at Seven Springs Resort. We love to travel throughout the state when the leaves are changing colors. You won’t find a more beautiful time to visit PA than in the fall.

Independence Hall

Head to Hershey Park to ride the rides, enjoy chocolate and visit a butterfly garden. We highly recommend visiting this magnificent park at least once! It’s always been a favorite family vacation spot for us for years.

Railroad history lovers will definitely want to visit the Horseshoe Curve on their Pennsylvania vacations. I’m absolutely in love with the Horseshoe Curve. There’s something magical about being on top of the mountains and watching a train go by, so close up

Head Outdoors

Or enjoy Pennsylvania skiing in the snow covered Pennsylvania mountains during the winter. Check out the resorts in the state for some great skiing and stunning winter landscapes.

Tour the battlefield and dine at some great Gettysburg restaurants. We highly recommend a visit to the Gettysburg area. There’s so much history to be learned here.

Hike the amazing Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania in the fall for some gorgeous and colorful scenery. We love hiking to the bottom, you get such a different view being on the canyon’s bottom than you do from up high.

Enjoy July 4th in PA with some great Pennsylvania fireworks displays. The fireworks never disappoint, and we’ve been to many out of state July 4th fireworks shows, but we believe PA has the best!

A Great Getaway

Pennsylvania tourism has a lot to offer visitors during all four seasons. If you like cold weather, PA welcomes you! Or if you prefer spring and summer, you’ll love swimming in some of the prettiest lakes around.

The state parks and their beaches offer summertime fun. Play frisbee golf, eat hot dogs and pizza, and watch the world go by. The lakes are great for kayaking, pedal boating, and paddle boating, not to mention ice skating and ice fishing in the winter.
