Altoona – State College – Pittsburgh – Erie Regions
Enjoy lodging and playing at the golf resorts in PA in the Laurel Mountains and Pittsburgh – Erie Regions. Fall is an especially pretty time to tee off.
The golf courses in this region offer memberships and have golf shops, some also offer lessons to get your golf game up and running.
We have been to all of these resorts and each of them is a great place to not only golf but stay overnight at.
There’s different activities for the kids to do (and a non-golfing spouse!) while the avid golfer is on the green.
Variety to Do
Seven Springs offers lots of fun – they have a video game room and a bowling alley along with shops to find that great souvenir to take back home.
The kids can go ziplining, enjoy mountain biking, ride a chair lift, and go tubing.
There’s also an alpine slide they can ride on.

Bedford Springs is very impressive. The scenery, like the other resorts, is very beautiful each season of the year. It’s easily reachable off of the Pennsylvania turnpike.
This makes for a nice weekend break.
Toftrees is in State College, the home of Penn State. The downtown area has neat boutiques and shops along with places to eat if you want to venture out of the resort.
Catch a home football game, then get out on the greens.
